Matt Cutt’s Funny Video Explains Why it is Important to Have a Website

Matt Cutt’s webmaster videos, along with relevant information clearly have a lot of fun associated with them. Cutt’s disembodied head returns in a new video and this time his head disappears at random. According to Cutts, having no website is the most common SEO mistake. He explains – “If you don’t have a website, you’re kind of invisible on the web, and you really don’t want to be invisible on the web”.

A few weeks back, Cutts posted a video that reminds webmasters about the importance of content in the body of the page. Google’s head of Webspam team appears in this video without a body – all you see is a talking Cutt’s head! This “public service announcement” concedes that while the head of a document is important, webmasters also need to think about what’s in the body of the page.

At this point in the latest video, Google’s Distinguished Engineer was effectively trying to make him self invisible by waving his hands around in front of his face and clearly having a lot of fun with it. The video also asks businesses to make sure they have a website, if not people won’t be able to find them. And that would really be a shame if people having great businesses are invisible on the web.

This humorous video’s focus was on a serious issue that many businesses don’t have any kind of website. It also pointed out that businesses are relying on third-party sources, such as Yelp or other local results, to get their information to potential customers. Many websites rely on their Facebook page to serve their web presence.

Cutts concluded the video with his words “So my advice is always have a website, you don’t want to be invisible. You want to be found”.
